Oh how sweet was this? I adored Emilio and Spencer!
Usually the insta-lust/love thing has me thinking "why?" or "yeah right!". In this though, it worked. I loved how Emilio thought he was going in for a hook up only to take notice of Spencer's body language and anxiety he backed off to make him comfortable. Only to start thinking about his life.
Spencer is a 38 year old math professor at UNLV and outside his office window he sees the contruction crew working on a new building. So, what's a man to do? He watches them hard at work ;) Spencer can't believe a 22 year old, Emilio, is actually hitting on me. He has such low self-esteem and it makes me so sad. Luckily, Emilio is there to take care of all of his insecurities.
I love how Emilio picks up on things that Spencer says without even talking. It just shows he's much more mature than the average 22 year old. He's an old soul and loves his family and wants one of his own-even at 22. He's so patient with Spencer and I love how he gets him to open up. What? Yeah, there was actually communication. There was no hiding big topics. It was real, even though it was hard to talk about.
The ending...the proposal. It had me in tears! SO SWEET!!!!!!!
Overall, great story! This book had me laughing (especially during conversations between Spencer and Maria), crying, angry, and mostly smiling at the happiness :)
This is my 2nd? book my Cardeno C. and I am hooked already!
